Picnics in the Park

Last Friday the girls and I met Jane, Kai, Davis, and Brit at the East Meadow in Central Park for a picnic.  It had been a really hot day, but that evening it cooled off, and was so beautiful.  It was so fun to sit and talk while the kids ran around and got some energy out.  It was so fun that we stayed out well past the girls bed time. 

 

Jane has been one of my best friends here in New York.  We met a few weeks after we moved in.  I had been desperate to get Hailey into some sort of Joy school, and luckily Jane was doing a little preschool co-op thing with another person in the ward and they kindly invited us to join. This past year Hailey and Davis have both been in different public schools, but we've had a "treat day" together once a week, and either met at a cafe and played games, or had play dates at either of our places.   

 

Jane is one of my favorite people, and I'm so glad we've gotten to spend so much time together.  Love these guys and I'm really going to miss them while we're gone.    

 

Hailey ate a few cookies that Jane brought and had chocolate all over.  She has one cute messy face!

 

 Davis is one of Hailey's best friends.  They are so cute and play so well together.  Hailey has even said she hopes Davis will be at her wedding one day because he's her best friend.  Haha.
