There's nothing quite like having your mom visit you. My mom came the
week of Hailey's birthday and we had so much fun. We went to the Met,
the Museum of Natural History, Played at parks, and ate some of our
favorite food. It was really fun.
By far my favorite memory of the trip was when we were at dinner at Max Brenner and my mom yelled at some little girls. Haha...here's the story: We were sitting at our table which was by some stairs and there were some little girls, probably between 7 and 9, who were going up and down the stairs. Anyway Hailey is friendly to everyone she meets and she was so excited there were some little girls near her. Anyway the little girls started sticking their tongues out at Hailey. Hailey doesn't really understand people being mean, so she thought it was a fun game they were playing and she was laughing at them. I looked at them a couple of times and said, "That's not nice, don't do that" and told Hailey to ignore them, but then they came back and started doing it again, and finally my mom gave them the meanest look in the world and yelled, "DON'T! Go sit in your chairs!!" These little girls eyes got huge and they ran away and didn't come back. Ash and I were in shock, and told her she couldn't yell at other people's kids, but we laughed about it all night. It was so funny! She's a good protective grandma!
Love you mom, thanks for visiting!
