Two Weeks

Our little Avery is two weeks old. She is a sweetheart. She spends the majority of her days eating and sleeping. Occasionally she wakes up and looks around and listens to our conversations, but for the most part she's unconscious. :) She's super fun to cuddle with. Unfortunately she's decided that's the only way to sleep at night, and I've been desperate for sleep, so she spends the majority of the night in bed with us. I kind of forgot how little sleep you get with a newborn. I'm adjusting though, and things are getting easier.

Everyone asks how Hailey is doing with it, and honestly I couldn't be happier with how she's done. She is really good. She really loves Avery. She always gets down by her and says things to her like: "Oh Avery you're so cute!" or "Oh Avery you're such a sweetie." It's really cute to see. She is very enthusiastic about showing people her baby sister too. For whatever reason though she often tells people that her little sister's name is Avery Claire Hunter. I'm not quite sure where that came from, but she's done it several times. She asks to hold her every day and then asks me to take a picture of them together, so I hope you enjoy the sister shots below.

We took Avery in for her two week appointment today and here are her stats:

Weight: 8 pounds 4 ounces = 50.54%

Height: 21 inches = 78.4%

Head: 14.5 inches= 72.67%

Avery's hair is a decent length, but it's not super thick. Every time I get her out of the bath her hair literally stands straight up. It's really hard to know what to do with it, but I think it's so funny.

Her Doctor's appointment went really well. She's definitely growing, so that makes me happy. We love this little girl so much and can't wait for the milestones ahead.
