Parties

Over the last few weeks we've been able to go to several different parties, or events.  I have some pictures from each so I thought I'd put them all together in one post.  One thing I do have to say for New York, is there is always something going on.  Every weekend there is always a family friendly event, and with all the holidays approaching there's getting to be more and more.  Fall in New York is my favorite time of the year.  There isn't a place I'd rather be for Halloween and Thanksgiving, because of all the fun things going on here.  We are really looking forward to the next month!

On Saturday there was a really fun free Halloween party that the Y, and some other organizations were putting together down by the UN.  The girls got to go paint pumpkins, have their face painted, get balloons, and jump in a bounce house.  They had a great time.

We even saw a couple celebrities there...the cat in the hat, and Dora.  It was a treat.
After some quality party time the girls came home watched the football game with dad.

Hailey had Columbus Day off of school, so we went to the Bronx zoo with some friends.  They were doing Boo at the Zoo, for the holiday, and it was a lot of fun.  The kids got treats, and got to go through a hay maze and do some other really fun things.  They had a lot of fun.

Our group of kids:  Hailey, Molly, Paul, Penn, and Avery.

A week ago Hailey's friend Sadie, had her 4th birthday.  She had a princess party, and all the girls got crowns, tutus and wands.  Not to mention a photo shoot.  It was really fun.
A few weeks ago Bloomingdale's put on a princess party in their kids section.  They had a singer, a face painter, and someone doing balloons.  They gave each little girl a princess bag with a crown.  My girls loved it.
We stood in line for the face painting FOREVER!  Hailey was adamant that she wanted her face painted, and she didn't care that we'd have to wait for hours.  Avery really wanted it done too, but once it was her turn she about had a heart attach and so the lady didn't do it.  She then threw a total tantrum that it hadn't been done.  It was one of those moments where my patience as a mother was pushed to it's limits.  Hailey loved her face paint though and by the time we got home I had two happy little girls.

We're looking forward to some more fun as Halloween gets closer!

  1. Man, there really is always something fun going on. It makes me feel lame looking back on my last couple of months. It's been a lot of HGTV for me and Disney Junior for Kylee! We need to get out :-)! That last picture of Hailey should be on a poster advertisment for next years party! BEAUTIFUL!
