Holidays

It's been so fun for Marcus to have the last two Mondays off of work. We tried to take advantage of them by planning fun things for the family. The day after Christmas we went to the Bronx Zoo. The day after New Year's we went to the Central Park Zoo, and to Wollman Ice Skating rink. We have a zoo pass, so I took the girls into explore the zoo while Marc got a little work done, at his office and then he came back and met us and took Hailey ice skating. Both days were a lot of fun!

The Bronx Zoo was great. It's huge and it was nice to explore it as a family.

They were doing ice carvings while we were there. Hailey thought it was pretty cool.

Wollman rink is really cool. It's so pretty because it's in Central park, but it's close to the edge of the park so you have all these huge buildings all around you. It's stunning.

Hailey has been talking about Ice skating since we first told her we were moving to New York. As a way to get her excited I'd tell her all the cool things in Central Park. For some reason she got so excited about the ice skating. She'd tell people all the time, "I'm moving to New York, they have ice skating there!" :) We decided we'd better make good on our Ice skating promise. Hailey loved it. She told Marcus she wanted to take Ice Skating lessons instead of swim lessons this summer.
A few shots of the view above the rink.

Avery was a bear at the zoo, but fortunately she slept the whole time Hailey and Marc were ice skating. She woke up happy as can be!
It really is an incredible atmosphere!

I LOVE HOLIDAYS! It's so nice to get to go out and do some fun things with our little family.
